David Hobbs Honda Sponsors 2012 Olympic Hopeful

David Hobbs Honda,  a dealer of new Hondas and pre-owned vehicles located at 6100 N. Green bay Avenue in Glendale, WI has announced its sponsorship of triathlete Gwen Jorgensen of Milwaukee, WI.  Jorgensen, a top track and field athlete while at UW Madison with a swim background, was recruited by the USA Triathlon Program this year. The athlete finished second at the 2010 FISU World University Championships May 30th in Valencia, Spain, in just her second triathlon while posting the fastest run split by more than 2 minutes.  According to Greg Hobbs, Executive Vice President of David Hobbs Honda, "its important for our business to support excellence in our community and Gwen is a shining example of the best of the best."

The USA will take only 2 to 3 athletes to the 2012 Olympic games. And the local star is training hard for a shot at one of those spots, amping up her training for the season to 15-25 hours a week combining a routine of swimming, biking and running.

In respect to the new sponsorship Jorgensen offers, "David Hobbs Honda is extremely generous and excited about helping the community.  They gave me a new Honda Insight so I will be able to do more training because I have a fuel-efficient car that allows me to get to workout facilities.  It is a hatchback, allowing me to easily put my bike in the car.  But It is also environmentally friendly, something Hobbs Honda and I are both very passionate about."
